There’s a change coming to the entire Enchantrix Radio live podcast universe, and if you’ve been attending our events you already know all about it. Our live podcast events are going to be moving from the Podbean platform over to a Discord based existence. This means your usual listening experience will require that you join the Enchantrix Empire Discord in order to hear the live podcast and participate in the chat! But if you want to wait to hear the recorded show, you can, because we’ll still be recording the goodness for you.

Whore School Live

You can get your live adult sex education (and life skills) podcast event on your favorite podcast site still! There may be a slight delay as we finalize the swap over, but only by maybe a day or so. We move at the speed of my hyperfixation (and the technology of various sites I’m not in charge of.) For the live shows, going forward, all you need to is join the Enchantrix Empire Discord and then pop into the Enchantrix Radio voice channel! Sound intimidating? Privacy Concerns

I’ve had some folks ask about privacy and security on the Discord platform. And that’s a legit concern to have! In our increasingly social media algorithm dominated world, trying to stay safe online has become more and more difficult. Plus, Discord has made some poor decisions about safeguarding their users vital information in the past. They’ve naturally vowed to do better, but a little scepticism is just good common sense. However, we’re going to be using Discord because the other option is Twitch, and every criticism of Discord can be applied to Twitch, too.

Adult Sex Education

Whore School’s Live podcasts are adult sex education. I’d love for the ‘sex education’ part to be the bit that platforms focus on, but the ‘adult sex’ part of that description is what tends to trip us up. Live podcasts of an adult nature like ours are being increasingly legislated and TOS’d out of various platforms. We can’t use Youtube, because of the ‘adult’ nature of our conversations. Spreaker got rid of live shows, and now so is Podbean. Anything else would still require that we change platforms, and adjust the way we do our shows. At least with Discord it’s simple, one stop for all the live podcast shows, with a built in chat.

I’ll answer your questions and concerns live, and walk you through setting yourself up for a good experience on Discord. Keep an open mind, and give it a try! Often the restrictions on social media users aren’t coming from the platform itself but from national and international law. We’re just doing our best, but I really do think Discord will be a good platform for us to make use of. And I think you’ll come to love it, too.
