WS 470 Halloween Tarot 2025
Enjoy the Whore School tradition! Every year for Halloween I read Tarot, live on the podcast.
(0:04 – 1:18)
Did you hear it? Did you hear it? Did you hear it? Did you hear the chime? I hope you did. If you didn’t, whoops. This is Horror School.
I am Harper. You are listening live. And if you’re not listening live, where are you? What are you doing? Oh my god.
Head to communitykink.com because the chat room is hopping. Come forth. Come join us.
So far in the chat tonight, I’ve got Kylie Gable. Hey, Kylie. Lucifer.
Bonmot. Patty and Tina Aaron. What up, gang? It is the first, the Sunday closest to Halloween, which means we’re doing spooky shit, y’all.
And when I say spooky shit, what I really mean is it’s not all that spooky. It’s practically tame. I’m just gonna read tarot.
(1:19 – 1:38)
That’s all. No big. Nothing major.
Trust me. You will have a fantastic time. And if you don’t, it’s not my fault.
We’ll blame something else. I don’t know, the stars or something. Something out there.
(1:45 – 3:16)
Patty is not gonna have a good time. Patty thinks that everything to do with spiritual anything is bullshit. That’s fine.
You don’t have to. I believe in this shit because it’s it’s personally meaningful. It’s meaningful on a personal level.
Just for me. So horror school is adult sex education with an emphasis on the adult end of the scale. If you ain’t an adult, get the fuck out.
I started horror school because I was interested in exploring ways that grown ass motherfucking grownups can be stupid. I mean, I’m an equal opportunist. Okay, everyone is allowed on one level or another to be a little bit, you know, dumb.
But an awful lot of people are a little bit or a whole lot of a dumb ass in ways that cause harm to other human beings and that that just shall not stand. So horror school was born because I was tired of people causing harm to one another in stupid ways. So I’m going to educate you about how not to be a dick.
(3:19 – 3:51)
Basically. Horror school, no shame, no fear, no guilt. None of that shit.
So that also applies to like, I’m not going to shame you for whatever it is that turns you on. But I also expect you in turn not to turn around and shit all over somebody else’s happiness, right? No matter what that is. So if somebody believes in something that you think is completely irrational and out there and weird, the best thing to do is to go, huh, okay.
(3:52 – 4:22)
Thank you for letting me know that you believe that. And then and then drop it. So no fear, no shame, no guilt.
You don’t have to indulge in other people’s kink. You know, your consent is also important. You have the right to say, this isn’t fun for me and I don’t wanna.
(4:29 – 4:34)
Right? You ain’t gotta. You ain’t gotta, y’all. Hey, Sissy Addie is joining us in here.
(4:35 – 5:30)
So since y’all are in the chat room, if you’re in the chat room, it would do me ever so much good if I could get a really like a quickie head count from y’all about who wants their tarot cards read. Because that’s a thing that I’m gonna do. Let’s see.
I know Lucifer wants his cards read. There you go. Kylie wants her cards read.
Ooh, ah, ah, ah. Addie left and then rejoined. Connection issues.
Okay. The sound that you hear is the sound of me opening my box with my cards in it. It was a quartz crystal I keep in there with it.
(5:30 – 6:03)
There. Okay. So the deck that I’m currently using is the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck drawn by Pamela Coleman-Smith.
And this is the Centennial edition, because I’m extra that way. The Centennial edition was put out relatively recently. Oh my god, when was it put out? It was, it was for the Centennial of this particular deck.
(6:04 – 7:11)
It’s gonna make me do research. Rider-Waite-Smith Centennial. 2009.
Okay. So it’s because it was a hundred years old, the deck is. What’s great about the Centennial edition.
So the Rider-Waite-Smith, Smith was the name of the publisher, the publishing house. No, Rider was the name of the publishing house. A.E. Waite was the occultist who came up with the symbolism and the meanings behind the cards.
And then Pamela Coleman-Smith was the artist who drew them. Like, how am I getting these names all wrong? Patty said, just because I don’t know. Aren’t the cards and names the exact same and it’s just the art that’s different? Or are there different cards? Okay.
(7:11 – 7:27)
So Tarot is, it’s a deck of 78 cards. There are 78 different cards in it. They’re divided into two different kinds of card within the deck, the majors and the minor, and it’s called arcana.
(7:27 – 8:45)
Major arcana and minor arcana. The major arcana is kind of tell a story. You can line them all up and it tells, if you’re familiar with Jungian psychology or the hero’s journey, it’s the hero’s journey.
It tells a story through the major arcana. The minor arcana are basically a deck of cards. There’s four suits, coins or pentacles, wands or staves, swords, it’s almost always swords, and cups, almost always cups.
So there’s four suits. Most modern playing decks also have four suits. There’s the numbered cards that run from an ace to 10.
Yeah. And then there’s the court cards. Now, a modern playing deck has three court cards.
The king, the queen, and the jack. The jack of whatever. In tarot, there’s four court cards.
A king, a queen, a page, and a knight. Patty says, I know the hero’s journey from a literary standpoint. Yeah, it’s exactly the same.
(8:48 – 15:15)
So that’s how you get to the 78 cards, because there’s the four suits, there are 14 cards in each suit, and then there’s the major arcana, and there are 22 cards in the major arcana. 78 cards. There’s no jokers.
Sort of. The fool can roughly be thought of as like a joker. Anyway, so tarot started in the 1700s from a card game called taroki, or tarok.
And as people do, they were using this card game as a divination game, just like people have always done. And in fact, you may or may not have played card games where it was, okay, if I draw, you know, you pull out all of the court cards, you shuffle them together, and then you draw to see, you know, who will be your, who’s going to be your boyfriend for the dance? You know, that kind of stuff. Sissy Addie said, 1700s? I thought it was way older.
Nope. Patty said, how is that spelled? What, taroki? Taroki. It was an Italian early renaissance card game.
The cards were often hand painted, because the printing press hadn’t been invented yet. And the oldest type of deck specifically for divination that we know of was called the Lenormand. So the Lenormand tarot is the oldest of the tarot tarot.
Patty said, no, I have a fake version used for a D&D game called the Curse of Strahd. Yes. A lot of D&D draws from occult stuff.
Most of the time, though, they do change things just enough so that you can’t actually summon a demon with it. So circle around to the late 1800s, very early 1900s, mid 1800s to early, late 1800s, with the rise of spiritualism. In the US, spiritualism got started with the Fox sisters, who were apparently communicating with something by means of thumps and knocks and noises, the spiritualist movement.
At one point in Chicago alone, there were 700 trance mediums. That’s a lot. That is a lot.
Spiritualism was a very large, vibrant and growing religious movement. It was based on the idea that after you die, your soul doesn’t disintegrate, and it can be communicated with. And so people were using things like ouija boards and spirit trumpets and table tilting and spirit slates and things like that in order to communicate with the dearly departed.
And yes, tarot. Tarot has been around in one form or another since the 1700s. It wasn’t until A.E. Waite, working with artist Pamela Coleman Smith in Europe, codified the tarot deck into the form that we know it today.
So the first that we look at it and go, that’s definitely a tarot deck, and not just a divination deck, was the Rider Waite tarot deck. And at the time, it was called the Rider Waite. We ignored the artist because it was patriarchy.
It was named after the publisher, Rider and Waite, who came up with the symbolism in 1909. Fast forward to 2009, for the centennial, they re-released the deck. The license for the Rider Waite deck is held by U.S. Games Systems.
U.S. Games, it’s, everybody’s seen it. It’s the, it’s in a yellow box. It’s the tarot deck.
Everybody thinks of it. When you think of a tarot deck, that’s the deck you think about it, right? And the main, there’s, there’s the main problem with it. It was, U.S. Games got the license for the deck.
They changed the colors of the deck, and they’re also reprinting now on a digital master that was made from a die that was cut for the original printings, and it’s gone a little muddy. The, the deck that you can buy now from U.S. Games, usually about $15, is a little blurry looking, and it’s because it’s not off the original masters. So for the centennial, they re-released the deck off the original masters.
So the line work is much sharper. There’s more detail in the deck. It’s a higher quality print, and they also went back to the original colors that Pamela Coleman Smith used in the deck.
So Patty’s being a bitch. I see you. She said, strange, something that claims to be so powerful, so cheap.
I mean, it’s U.S. Games. I have tarot decks that I’ve purchased that range anywhere from, yep, $15 to a couple hundred dollars. Look, I’m not proud of the fact that I have some very expensive tarot decks.
(15:16 – 15:29)
Okay, I, like, this isn’t a bragging point. It’s just, you know, it’s a thing that happens. You see a really, really nice fancy deck from a really good artist on Kickstarter.
(15:30 – 16:17)
Before you know it, you’ve pledged, and now you’ve got a very expensive art piece. So the centennial deck, highly recommend. It’s about $30.
You get a guidebook that comes with it. You get much better detail in the art. Like, it’s just nicer looking.
It’s on really good cardstock, and it’s got better colors. I like the colors of this so much better than the U.S. Games Rider Waite tarot deck, right? So that’s the deck that I’m currently reading off of. I have in the past offered to let people pick and choose which tarot deck I was going to use.
(16:17 – 16:25)
I ain’t doing that tonight. I’m not feeling it. Tina says, I have seen a Cthulhu.
(16:26 – 17:39)
It’s a tarot deck by a French artist. Hell yeah. If you want to have fun, look up the Pavlov tarot deck.
Seriously. P-A-V-L-O-V. Pavlov tarot deck.
It’s not Pavlov as in the guy who was making No, it is by an American trans man artist. So, FTM. He’s a trans man, and his art is amazing.
Gorgeous. Amazing. Worth it.
Good luck getting a hold of it. You have to wait until enough more, until he does a new print run, and then he usually announces it on Facebook, and it’s sold out instantly. His deck is gorgeous.
Fabulous. I love that deck. It’s not the one I’m going to be reading from tonight, because it’s non-standard imagery, and I just don’t, I’m not feeling it.
One deck. You get one deck tonight. That’s what you get.
(17:42 – 17:53)
Tina shared a link. Let me look. You have to log in, because, because we don’t like you.
(17:56 – 18:05)
You know what? Fuck you, Reddit. Why do I have to log in? I don’t want to log in. You’re a butt.
(18:08 – 19:35)
Yes, Fyodor Pavlov. That’s it. Only one picture of it, and they didn’t share any of the spicy pictures.
It does come pretty close to the Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism. It’s a little, I love that I can type P-A-V-L, and it goes Pavlov Tarot. Is that the one you’re looking for? Yes, thank you so much.
Here. That. That’s, that’s the Pavlov.
You’re welcome. Teddies everywhere. One of my favorite cards.
Okay, so Lucifer, you would like this deck. Go look at it, and look at the Devil card. The Devil.
Lovers is also a really good deck card on here. It’s just, it’s so fucking pretty. Okay, so I’m only gonna do three cards.
(19:36 – 20:01)
Tina says, ooh, the Empress. Tiddies. I know, right? Boobies.
Yeah, I adore his art style. It’s so pretty. The Lovers is a fabulous card, because both of the main characters in it on that card are trans.
They’re nude. They are trans. It’s great.
(20:07 – 21:17)
Patty said, is the main kinky people are drawn to the more curly or spiritual side of things because it’s religion without the religious puritans part? I think people are drawn to religion because it answers certain questions. Oh, culty. No, it’s not culty.
It’s a cult, not culty. It answers questions for people about, you know, what’s your, why are we here? What’s your purpose in life? And yes, in a way that is no shame. Oftentimes, like, Tarot’s not going to be like, you’re going to hell.
Unless that’s how you come to the deck and the reading. So I’m going to I’m going to read three cards. Lucifer, you’re up first.
Because you asked first by email. You get three cards. It’s going to be past, present and future.
I’m just determined to fling this deck everywhere today. I keep dropping it. Mott says, I’m scared.
(21:19 – 21:28)
Don’t be scared. It’s not scary. It’s just a little, just a little witchcraft.
(21:42 – 22:37)
I’m shuffling. Focus on your question, Lucifer. Alrighty, we got the two of cups, the 10 of cups, the king of cups.
Okay, I swear to God. I shuffled this deck. And yet we get a shit ton of cups.
Is it full cup? So the two of cups is usually an emotional choice that has to be made. That is not that statistically unlikely. You buzzkill.
(22:38 – 22:56)
So an emotional choice that you had to make in the past. And it’s usually a very binary choice. It’s this or that.
This or that. And it’s a choice about what you will accept in your life, what you won’t accept into your life. The 10 of cups is the culmination of the suit.
(22:57 – 24:58)
So you’re doing really quite good right now. You are happy, you are content. Things are looking up in your life.
Sometimes the 10 of cups indicates a happy family. It’s you know, that good long, ah, made it. The king of cups.
So in the future, your ability to make those hard decisions and to recognize and understand when things are going well, and to take advantage of the benefits of when things are going well, use this time in order to make certain that your mental and emotional health are on point. The king of cups, he is a king, he is a decision maker, but he is ruled not just by logic, but also by an emotional intuition. So in the future, there will be a moment or a time in which your ability to make a decision based both on what is logically and rationally the most beneficial choice for yourself, you will be able to balance that with what’s the decision that’s going to make you happy.
So that that’s the kind of thing that you can expect from a three card reading. It’s just real quick, in, out, bing, bang, boom. A three card reading, usually it’s not enough to get super duper in depth with anything.
So it’s not going to be the answer of, yes, in your future, I see tall, handsome man. That very rarely happens. Lucifer says that they promised to be a good king.
(25:01 – 25:40)
Okay, who was number two? I gotta make me scroll up through the chat. Let’s see. Lucifer, Tina.
Tina wanted a reading. Kylie wanted a reading. Mott said that he will go last.
Sissy Addie wants a reading. Okay, so Tina, then Kylie. I’m gonna let y’all duke it out and fight for it.
(25:53 – 27:07)
All right, so Tina, start thinking about the question. Also, it’s fun to try to shuffle a tarot deck because these cards are bigger than a standard tarot deck. There’s also more of them than a standard deck of cards, like playing cards.
So they’re, it’s just bigger. It’s more of a handful and I have small hands. All right, so Tina, I have the ace of cups, the three of wands, and the sun, major arcana.
That’s always good. The sun is almost always a good card to get. So whatever your question is, you got that in your head, right? You’re thinking about it.
(27:11 – 29:09)
The beginning of an emotional or intuitive task or journey. This is relatively recently. That’s the ace of cups.
So relatively recently, you started something. You started a new task. You started a new journey towards something.
You are currently at a pause to contemplate. Threes are often extremely stable. Think in terms of numerology.
It is stopping, pausing, and taking stock and a brief rest before you continue the work and keep on going. In the future, so the sun, growth, an explosion of growth. All of the work that you’ve started, that you’re currently engaged in, that you may have reached a moment of, hang on, let me breathe.
All right, keep going. It all comes out good in the end. You, yeah, happiness, contentment, completion, good shit.
All the goodness. Yes. Good stuff after hard work.
Tina said, oh, that is interesting. In a good way, I hope. I hope in a good way.
(29:23 – 31:04)
All right, Miss Kylie, are you ready for yours? All right, think about your question. Wands. So many wands.
So king of wands, the two of wands, and then the six of cups for Miss Kylie. In the past, the king of wands can indicate a position or a time in which you had to kind of take the reins and lay down the law, especially when it comes to something like it’s, the wands are all about fire and spirit, but they’re also about sex. Wands, some decks are a little bit more overt about this than others.
Wands can be, you know, a penis. What’s it? Ooh, sex. Yeah.
Passion, fire. Wands are associated with fire. And fire is all about things with the heart.
So it could be things that make you feel passionate. It can be sex, it can be a sexual thing. Oftentimes, the king of wands, he is, he’s got lions on his throne.
(31:04 – 35:37)
He’s got salamanders, which are for alchemy. It’s a symbol of fire. Kylie said, my question is more passion than sex this year.
You’re, you’re currently the two of wands, or the two of staves is you have a choice. You have a decision to make this or that. You also have the entire, it feels like you have the world in your hand.
You are looking out over the entire world and you have to make a big, hard decision. And that you’ve been having to balance that, the power and the authority within yourself to make these hard decisions and to make choices between two different things that sometimes it can feel as if choosing one means the other one is gone forever. Your future card, the six of cups, the card itself features six cups that have flowers in them, and a child handing one of the cups to another child, as if to say, these are all filled up with blessings, and here is one for you.
So I would say in the future, look for something that you can spread around, share the wealth, spread the blessing around. Whatever it is, the decision or choice that you have to make, it’s not that you make one and the other one is gone forever. It’s that you make one, maybe the other option is what you give away.
That way, it’s not that it’s gone. It’s just somebody else is handling that. I hope that makes sense.
Sometimes on a reading, if you look on the bottom side of the deck, the card that you like was on the very, very bottom, sometimes it can indicate someplace else to look or further insight or something that’s been buried in the situation was the seven of wands. So feeling beset, feeling defensive, like things are coming at you and now you have to fight. Especially, and what’s really interesting, so this deck, because it’s the centennial deck, it’s got better detail to it.
It’s far easier on this deck to tell that the figure in this card is wearing two different shoes. So suddenly beset, all of a sudden, things went tits up and you had to jump and you may have grabbed two of the wrong shoes, but you’re still there, you’re in the fight, you’re doing the thing, holding onto those wands. It won’t always be like that.
There’s cups in the future. Mont said, I’m totally digging this, never been a part of readings. They’re kind of fun.
Two girls, six cups. Lucifer says, what do cups represent? Cups are water, they’re our emotions. So water, emotions, intimacy, emotional intimacy, especially.
They can also be intuition or, Addie says, I’m getting anxious. Why are you anxious, Miss Addie? Should I do you next? Don’t be anxious. Oh, and Lucifer wants to know if I watched the video that they emailed me.
(35:38 – 36:23)
Yes, about the critical role and one guy trying to leave because somebody was talking about being an alpha. All right, Miss Addie, have you got your question in mind? Okay. Just so you know, when your reader starts laughing as soon as they lay out the card.
(36:29 – 36:52)
Ace of cups. Look, quit duplicating the readings. Stop that.
Ace of cups, ace of wands, five of cups. Miss Addie, honey, you have a lot going on. In the past, you had something emotional that happened that started up and got going on you.
(36:54 – 38:39)
It was very emotional. It may have even been like a, like a insight or even a divine revelation type of a thing. A bolt from the blue, all of a sudden, a deep emotional understanding that sparked a new sort of behavior from you.
Presently, it’s raining dick. You may have, I’m sorry, you may have a new lover in your life or on the horizon or being present for you. That’s the ace of wands.
That could also simply be that you’re very horny. Maybe you’re just horny. Future, the five of cups, often features a figure robed in black, staring at three cups on the ground that have spilled and completely ignoring the fact that there were two still upright behind him.
The five of cups is oftentimes a reminder that, look, just because some of your cups have spilled doesn’t mean it’s all over. You’re still in the journey through each of the suits from ace to 10. It’s like an escalator.
Every step has its own specific message and meaning and lesson. You start at an ace. You make a decision with a two.
You pause to contemplate the fact that, wow, I just made a decision at three. You make forward movement with four. At five, sometimes there’s a setback.
(38:40 – 39:16)
So the five of cups, sometimes there’s a setback, but it’s emotional. If you let your emotional landscape overwhelm you to the point that all you can see is the negative in it, you will miss all the good stuff that’s going on around you. Who’s ever said, with my luck, I’d accidentally kick the other two over when I turn around.
(39:18 – 40:13)
And Mott can’t get raining dicks out of his head. Miss Eddie says that she’s talking to some new people only, thinking about going to a sex party. Uh-huh.
Take condoms. Have fun. Have fun with it.
But if you pin all your hopes on it being this like a massive love match, it, that might, yeah, that might lead to some disappointment. Take it for what it is. What it is, is a very big penis.
A dick in the hand. That’s why I started laughing. As soon as I light those cards, I was like, blah.
(40:16 – 42:29)
Miss Eddie’s going to get laid. It’s not a guarantee. It’s not a guarantee, and this is for entertainment purposes only.
Mott set an umbrella for dick rain. So if I recall, Mott, did you want a reading? Patty wanted a reading, right? All right, let’s see. All right, Mott, think about what you want.
What do you want to know? You’ll also notice no one is telling me what their questions are. You don’t have to. Like, you absolutely don’t have to.
I will be less accurate if I don’t know, but you don’t have to. That’s kind of the fun of the cards. Mott said, mine’s real serious.
Well, five of swords. All right, so the five of swords. Again, we have the split between three and two is happening again, and this particular card features a redheaded person with a sharp face holding three swords and two more lay at his feet.
(42:33 – 43:55)
Swords are the suit associated with the air, and the air is the mind. And always remember, all of these swords are double edged. So swords can be the suit of mental illness.
It can be the suit of thinking your way into trouble, getting your own mind. Your mind can fuck you over faster than anything else. So this would be that sometimes it is out of malice, and sometimes it’s out of mischief.
And sometimes it’s just because that’s just the way fucking swords are. It is a tendency to hold on to some things and ignore others that may be just as important. And so that’s in your past.
Or this is a habit. Patty says, how old are these cards? And what is the connotation? It’s meant by mental illness. That’s a modern understanding of exactly what the swords mean.
The old understanding of it was that it was associated with air and it was mental acuity. Nowadays, we tend to look at it and go, ah, mental acuity, that bitch. So that was the past.
(43:55 – 44:09)
Present. The three of cups. The three of cups.
Like I pointed out, threes tend to be a moment of, ah, yes, ah, we made a decision. Time to celebrate. The three of cups is no different.
(44:10 – 44:21)
It features three women dancing together, holding cups above their heads. Oftentimes, the three of cups indicates a marriage. So it could be a coming together of like-minded people.
(44:22 – 44:54)
The three of cups is a party. It is a celebration. It is happiness.
It is joy. So whatever it was in the past with the five of swords, now in this moment, you good. You’re great.
In the future, the chariot. Major arcana again. Major arcana cards usually indicate someplace where there is a large amount of energy moving or something important happening.
(44:55 – 45:49)
The chariot indicates travel, movement. Get up and go. So I would say there has been some issue in the past.
You’re currently doing really, really well. You might be moving soon. Addie said, sounds like a fun night of wine and games with the gals.
It is. Lucifer said, I want to know what Harper thinks my question was about. The fun thing is when I’m reading tarot, especially if I don’t know what your question was, as soon as I’m done with the reading, I forget it.
It’s gone. Poof. For me, reading the tarot and doing this, it’s divination.
(45:49 – 46:36)
It moves through me and I don’t retain it. I have in the past done entire tarot readings that I don’t remember at all. These are just little ones, you know, like, uh, yeah, I’ll probably remember this later.
But most of the time when I’m reading the cards, I am, I don’t retain it. Don’t ask me to go back over it again. What said my question was about an MRI I’m getting on Tuesday.
Oh, I would say it’s going to come out clean. Probably. Patty says mentally, I’ll be approaching this slightly differently, but I’m still interested.
(46:36 – 46:43)
More like a tool for self-reflection. That’s mostly how I use tarot. There’s a book.
(46:50 – 47:35)
Oh my God. I completely forgot the name of it. Fucking hell.
But it has 78 degrees of wisdom, I think. That’s about using tarot as a tool for self-reflection. Like that, that’s what it’s for, basically.
Trying to predict the future with tarot. Very, very short term, you can be fairly accurate. The further out in time you get, the less accurate I can get with it.
I’ve done year readings where you lay out one card for every month and I’m like, the first three months, I’m fairly accurate. And after that, who the hell knows? The future is fluid. It changes.
(47:42 – 48:02)
No one knows. And I’ve had people before who are like, oh, well, that’s just a cop-out. I’m like, really? Really? You think that the future is fixed? Get the fuck up out of here.
(48:13 – 49:41)
All right, Patty, you ready? You just want a tool for reflection. Patty said, I hope so. Oh, Patty.
Two major arcana. The three of cups in the past. So moving him into the past, party, a celebration, and you’re just having a good time.
Like, life is good. Or life has been good. And it’s been pleasant.
You have enjoyed yourself. You’ve had a fairly good time. Very little actual, like, no, no major bad shit has happened.
In the present, the high priestess. This is a major arcana card. The high priestess.
So there’s a shit ton of symbolism that goes into the major arcana cards. The high priestess features the high priestess sitting between two pillars. One is black and has the letter B and one is white and has the letter J. The two pillars outside the temple of Solomon in Jerusalem were called Boaz and Yachim, B and J. In order to seek wisdom, he had to pass between the two pillars.
(49:42 – 50:44)
This is also a direct reference to the middle path of Buddhism. Neither extreme asceticism, nor extreme hedonism. The middle path, you walk straight through the middle.
The high priestess holds the Torah literally in her lap. She has the moon in a crown on her head. She sits in front of a tapestry of pomegranates.
So there’s a call back there to Persephone, the queen of hell, the queen of Hades. The high priestess, for you, Patti, in the present is grappling with the divine feminine. So you said this was more about self-reflection.
(50:45 – 51:41)
So consider your exploration of gender in terms of a middle path. And in what way is the divine feminine or whatever exalted version of femininity or mental construct of womanhood, in what ways is that, or could it be, obstructing your path or acting as a gatekeeper to your path? Consider that. The future.
Another major arcana, you got the lovers. The lovers are the union of opposites. When we’re talking about this in terms of the tool for self-reflection, the union of opposites, given that the high priestess is sitting here saying, hello, there is a middle path.
(51:41 – 52:05)
It is neither, I must be entirely masculine or I must be entirely feminine. But perhaps consider that there might be a kind of a non-binary both situation going on. And then in the future, the lovers, the union of opposites, there is a male and a female and they join together into one.
(52:07 – 52:19)
The symbolism might be a little bit over, over the top and heavy handed in this one. But I also think it’s fairly obvious. Tina says threesome for Patti.
(52:20 – 52:41)
It could be a threesome. It could also be some people are both, some people are neither, some people flip flop back and forth. It’s all good, man, girl, person, great.
(52:42 – 53:06)
Patti said, I hate how obvious it is and I can’t even deny the connections. It’s another reason why I was laughing. I was like, oh, this deck got salty.
Yeah. Patti said, damn it. I know, right? It’s a little, it’s a little on point.
(53:09 – 53:17)
It’s a little bit going. Patti said, this still isn’t magic. It’s just lucky.
(53:22 – 53:49)
Just remember that magic is based on synchronicity and synchronicity is a meaningful coincidence. Right? All religion and all magic is based on synchronicities. It’s a meaningful coincidence, but it has to be meaningful to you.
If it’s not meaningful to you, it’s just a fucking coincidence. You know, you can disregard it. If it is meaningful, well then, okay, it’s meaningful.
(53:50 – 54:34)
And it is an inherently and intensely personal thing. It’s meaningful to you. This reading is meaningless to everybody else.
Right? Other than you get to observe it from the outside and go, haha, you know, point and laugh. But otherwise this is meaningless. This has no bearing on anybody else.
This is just for one person. Patti said, humans really need meaning, huh? Yeah. And we make it, we create meaning out of fucking random ass cards.
(54:40 – 54:57)
Wee! Patti said, sure, it’s meaningful, but I’m not going to say some divine will chose those cards for me. No, um, I shuffled them. I laid them out and I read the meaning off of them.
(54:57 – 55:56)
It was me. I’m the divine will. All right.
Lucifer wanted another reading. I was going to read for myself, but fine. Lucifer’s jealous because Patti got two major Arcanas.
Oh, and Patti said, thank you. Yay. I don’t think you’re going to like it, Lucifer.
The past, the lovers. Oh, Lucy. That’s the past though.
The present, the King of Pentacles. Hey, a face card. Look at that.
(55:58 – 57:29)
Having to exercise restraint, especially in terms of money. Future, the Eight of Swords. Patti said, King of what? Pentacles.
Pentacles are coins. They’re associated with the earth, uh, with the body, the physicality, with money. And then for the future, um, Lucy, the Eight of Swords.
It features a blindfolded person tied to a fence made out of swords. Pay attention to the ways in which your mind might rebel against the necessary and needed restraint of the King of Pentacles. Towns and towns of passion, the union of opposites in the past, current restraint, sobriety, very sober, calm, cold.
Find ways in the present, in the here and now to indulge in just a little bit of hedonism. Just a tiny, inty-winty bit. Kings are often prone to being a little bit too harsh, a little bit too mean to themselves, because they have to be there.
I’m the king. I’m in charge. I have to make these decisions.
(57:30 – 57:37)
But remember, the king is sitting in a very lush area. He’s doing good. He’s doing well.
(57:38 – 58:50)
Too much kingliness leads to whoopsie doodles later on. It builds resentment. Okay, now I’m going to read for me.
I’m just going to ask for what do I need to know? Hapa. What does Hapa need to know? Ace of Cups. Thank you ever so much.
Ace of Swords. Wonderful. Eight of Wands.
There’s a whole lot of dicks flying around over here. Ace of Cups starting. I mean, Ace of Swords as well.
Emotions and then into the mind. I need an umbrella for all the dick I’m going to be handling. All the passion.
(58:55 – 59:32)
Starting and starting and starting and starting. I have undiagnosed ADD. So starting new things, tons of fun.
It’s maintaining things that I have a little bit of a problem with. Because regulating where my attention goes is an issue. I am aware of this.
So yeah, Ace of Cups. In the past, starting an emotional journey. Thanks.
(59:33 – 1:00:59)
Starting an intellectual journey. Oh, man. Yeah.
And he said, if you know you have it, is it still undiagnosed? It’s not officially diagnosed. I was going to start, I was going to do another reread of the Bible. So starting an intellectual journey.
So I’m going to read the Bible again. For the seventh time. And then dicks.
The Eight of Wands. Oftentimes, it’s a bunch of dicks flying at your face. And he said, the Bible? I know.
I do it every now and then. I reread the entire fucking thing. She said, but it’s so long.
I know. And weirdly worded. I got a new version of it.
It’s right here behind me. The New Revised Standard Version. N-R-S-V-U-E.
(1:00:59 – 1:01:09)
Holy Bible with Apocrypha. Like, I’m serious. I bought a new version of the Bible to read.
(1:01:09 – 1:02:03)
So that’s probably what the Ace of Swords is talking about. Okay, so whore school is adult sex education. Yes, I’m going to reread the Bible for the seventh time cover to cover.
But this time, in a new version. It’s a new translation to me. Yay.
I’ve read the King James twice. I always get bogged down in Genesis. It’s so boring.
